Then join the Sanctuary Coalition Cymru!

We are a collective of experts by experience — refugees and asylum seekers — and specialist organisations supporting individuals at every stage of the asylum journey, along with the communities in which they live. Together, we speak with a unified voice on policies and practices affecting those seeking safety in Wales.

At the heart of our work is the integration of the unique perspectives of those who have directly experienced seeking sanctuary, alongside the expertise of organisations. Our shared goal is to improve the lives of people seeking refuge, while fostering understanding, support, and sustainable solutions as we strive towards a Nation of Sanctuary.

The Coalition currently has a membership of 62 organisations and meets quarterly, or as pressing issues arise. Meetings are online.

The Coalition is steered by the Exec Group currently made up of:

The Exec Group have committed to volunteering extra hours to ensure consultations, briefings, events, and awareness raising activities are completed.
