That’s why we’re proud to announce that our website now uses Recite Me, an innovative assistive technology that helps remove barriers to accessing vital online services for people across Wales.

Many of the people we work with face numerous challenges when trying to access digital platforms. For some, navigating an English-language website to find accurate information about services, support, and education opportunities is near impossible. In addition to these hurdles, visual impairments, learning difficulties, and mental health conditions can all impact how we engage with information online.

What is Recite Me?

Recite Me is a cloud-based web accessibility tool that offers a range of customisable features directly on our website. With just a click, you can:

  • Change font sizes and styles for easier reading

  • Translate content into over 100 languages

  • Have text read aloud in different voices and speeds

  • Adjust colour contrasts and background colours

  • Use a ruler or screen mask to help focus on content

  • Download text as audio files

Digital design with people in mind

Everyone should have the opportunity to be able to access online content. One in ten people in the UK don’t speak English as their first language, while 20% of us have a disability. For technology to work, it has to work for all of us. Recite Me is one of the many steps we’re taking to deliver accessible digital services for good.
