Do I qualify for Asylum Support?

If you are awaiting the outcome of your asylum claim and are destitute (have no money to meet your basic needs and no housing within the next 14 days) you are entitled to apply for accommodation and support from the Home Office. You’ll usually get £47.39 for each person in your household. This will help you pay for things you need like food, clothing and toiletries. What if I have a problem with my ASPEN Card?

You can call the automated ASPEN line to activate your ASPEN card, retrieve your pin code or if you are having problems with payments by calling Prepaid Financial Services on 0800 246 1327. To activate this card you will need to provide your date of birth in the following format: if date of birth is 01/01/1991 it should be inputted as 010191.
