Logistics and warehousing with Lidl

Since February 2025, we have partnered with Lidl and experienced the power of collaboration in creating meaningful employment opportunities for refugees.

What does the programme involve?

Led by Michael Tallis, Regional Recruitment Manager for Lidl, the team have provided valuable insights into Lidl’s job opportunities and recruitment process through their spotlight employer presentations, emphasising the brand-new partnership between Lidl and the Welsh Refugee Council. This collaboration is breaking down employment barriers, ensuring that more refugees can access sustainable work and build successful careers in Wales.

What do our participants say about the programme?

Working with the Welsh Refugee Council, Lidl have successfully employed 14 individuals into warehousing and store roles through this programme so far. Those who have participants but not been successful initially have still found the experience invaluable and are supported by our team to continue applying for roles as they become available.

This is all largely thanks to our preparation workshops which provide expert advice and career guidance to help individuals confidently explore job opportunities across various sectors in Wales. By equipping participants with the necessary skills and knowledge, this initiative is a stepping stone towards long-term employment and financial independence.
