Case Study – Okot’s Story
Okot was a refugee living in Wrexham. He was a victim of trafficking and lived alone.
He became homeless after losing his accommodation and was facing destitution.
With support and advice from our caseworker, Okot was able to secure temporary accommodation until a more permanent solution could be found.
With further employment support and increased confidence, he went on to exploring employment opportunities.
Okot says “I cannot imagine my life without the help of the Welsh Refugee Council, my accommodation is only temporary, but at least I am not on the street.”
