Our AGM 2020 will be held live via Zoom on:
27 May at 11 am to 12:30 pm.
It’s been a busy year for us with lots of interesting developments. We said goodbye to our long-serving Chief Executive Salah Mohamed, who retired in 2019. A warm and compassionate leader Salah led the organisation through a period of transition, helping to rebuild our funding. While we miss him greatly, we are excited about what the future brings.
During the Coronavirus period we have successfully shifted to a telephone advice service and our expert caseworkers are continuing to provide vital advice and support for clients.
We have adapted other work such as hosting online ESOL resources, creating a Hate Crime video [link to video] and supporting partners to get health messages out. Of course, we have also continued to be the voice for Asylum Seekers and Refugees – ensuring they are not forgotten.
At our AGM you will see and hear:
- What we’ve achieved
- Lessons learnt
- What we’re looking forward to developing
It will also be an opportunity to meet our new Trustees and ask our panel of experts’ questions on the sector.
If you would like to become a Member before then, you can also vote for our proposed Trustees and have a say in our future. Our Membership starts from as little as £15 pa. You can find details how to become a member here.
